NihonCue stores onboarding choices, selected practice categories, phrase progress, quiz results, study rhythm, AI Coach usage counters, and subscription entitlement state needed to provide the app. No account or sign-in is required.
In the current version, AI Coach-style practice scripts are generated deterministically on your device. The situation text you enter is not sent to OpenAI, Google, Replicate, or another external AI provider.
If configured, Mixpanel processes product-usage events such as app launch, onboarding choices, paywall interactions, phrase completion, quiz correctness, and coach category. Raw AI Coach text is not included in analytics events. If configured, Sentry processes crash and error diagnostics to help improve stability. These services may process device, app, and technical identifiers according to their own policies.
Purchases, renewals, cancellations, refunds, subscription status, and offer-code redemption are handled by Apple StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment card number.
You can restart onboarding from Settings to clear learning progress stored by the app. Deleting the app removes its local data from your device. Apple retains purchase records under your Apple account, and analytics or diagnostics providers may retain technical events according to their retention policies.
