Introduction

Welcome to SnackGuard ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application SnackGuard (the "App"). If you do not agree with this policy, please do not access the App.

The details below describe SnackGuard version 1.2 and were updated October 29, 2026; earlier versions may differ.

Information We Collect

• What we collect: App and onboarding interactions, language, subscription product and purchase/restore outcomes, and diagnostic codes. Questionnaire answers are represented as allowed choices, ranges, or presence indicators rather than free text.
• How we collect it: The App sends analytics events to Mixpanel using its European endpoint and an app-specific anonymous identifier. Meal notes and photos are not included in these analytics events.
• Purpose: To improve reminders, timers, and overall experience
• Data retention: Aggregated and anonymized where possible

• What we collect: Limited app and device information, such as app version and operating system version, in analytics events
• How we collect it: Automatically when you use the App
• Purpose: To ensure compatibility and deliver reminders

• What we collect: Technical information when the App crashes or encounters errors
• How we collect it: Limited error codes may be included in analytics events. Version 1.2 does not include a dedicated crash-reporting SDK.
• Purpose: To identify and fix stability issues

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide timers, reminders, and progress insights for 4-hour meal gaps
• Improve app functionality and user experience
• Provide customer support
• Detect and prevent technical issues
• Comply with legal obligations

Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share data only in these cases:

• Service Providers: Mixpanel helps operate the App's analytics service.
• Legal Requirements: If required by law or valid legal request
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
• Safety: To protect rights, property, or safety of SnackGuard, users, or others

Data Security

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn such data exists, we will delete it.

Analytics data may be processed on servers outside your country. We use safeguards such as encryption in transit and access controls.

We may update this policy. We will post updates in the App and revise the Effective Date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
