Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Smart Automation SRL handles information when you use the SilkStyler iOS app.
Photos and hairstyle results
- You choose whether to take or select a photo. SilkStyler does not upload a photo simply because you opened the picker.
- When AI try-on is available, SilkStyler asks for your explicit consent before sending the selected photo and hairstyle instructions to our AI processing provider, Replicate, to create the requested result. The transfer uses HTTPS.
- If the AI service is unavailable, SilkStyler shows an unavailable message and lets you continue browsing styles without sending the photo for AI processing.
- Results you choose to keep, along with an optional original image, are stored in the app's local History on your device. You can delete History items in the app. Removing the app also removes its local data, subject to iOS backup behavior.
Photos, prompts, hairstyle choices, onboarding answers, and generated images are excluded from our analytics events.
App analytics
SilkStyler uses Mixpanel to understand whether core screens and flows work. We send limited event and technical data such as an event name, screen or step name, product identifier, app version, build number, operating environment, and an anonymous analytics identifier. Automatic event tracking and IP-based geolocation are disabled. We do not call Mixpanel's identify API for a personal account, and SilkStyler does not require an account.
Purchases
Apple processes subscription purchases and restores through StoreKit and the App Store. SilkStyler receives product and entitlement status needed to show plans and unlock features. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
Service providers and transfers
- Replicate: receives a photo and generation instructions only after consent and only when AI try-on is available.
- Mixpanel: receives the limited analytics data described above through its EU endpoint.
- Apple: provides app distribution, subscription transactions, entitlement status, and platform services.
These providers may process data in countries outside your own under their applicable safeguards and terms. We do not sell personal information or use SilkStyler data to track you across other companies' apps and websites.
Your choices
You can decline photo access, decline AI-provider consent, continue without creating a result, delete saved History items, or uninstall the app. You may contact us to ask about privacy rights available where you live. Some provider records may need to be retained for security, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.
Children
SilkStyler is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Security and changes
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect data. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. We may update this policy when the app or its providers change; the effective date above will show the latest revision.
