Privacy Policy
PictoCue is a local-first visual schedule app. This policy explains what remains on your device, the limited product analytics the app may send, and the separate services you choose to open.
At a glance
- No PictoCue account is required.
- Profile names, boards, photos, labels, titles, completion state, and backups are stored locally.
- PictoCue does not upload board content to the developer or an AI provider.
- Privacy-minimized analytics exclude names, photos, labels, titles, board contents, and file names.
- You can turn analytics off in PictoCue Settings.
- We do not sell personal information or use PictoCue data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
Data handling
| Data | Purpose and handling |
|---|---|
| Profiles, boards, labels, titles, progress, and preferences | Stored on your device to provide PictoCue. The developer does not receive this local content. |
| Camera and Photo Library images | Selected only when you use the matching control, resized for cards and PDFs, and stored with local app data. PictoCue does not upload these images to the developer, Mixpanel, or an AI service. |
| Product analytics | PictoCue may use Mixpanel to process privacy-minimized interaction events, such as app launch, onboarding completion, enum-style board type, card or board count, export format, premium screen outcome, subscription product identifier, and purchase or restore state. Mixpanel may also process limited app, device, operating-system, and network metadata needed to deliver the analytics service. Analytics is used to understand feature reliability and product use, not to reconstruct a board or identify the person shown in a photo. |
| Purchases | Apple processes subscription purchases, renewals, restorations, and introductory offers. PictoCue receives product and entitlement status, not complete payment-card details. |
| Exports and support | When you export a PDF or backup, you choose the destination through iOS. If you contact support, we receive only the information you deliberately include. |
Children and family use
Adults may use PictoCue to prepare boards for children. Purchase, backup, sharing, and settings decisions are intended for a parent, guardian, teacher, caregiver, or other responsible adult. PictoCue does not require a child account and the developer does not knowingly collect children's names, photos, or board content. Do not include private child information in a support email.
Permissions
Camera and Photo Library access are requested only when you choose to add a photo. You can deny access and continue using starter symbols. Microphone, contacts, location, health, and advertising-tracking permissions are not required for PictoCue's core board workflow.
Sharing, processors, and international transfers
Mixpanel acts as an analytics service provider for the limited event data described above. Apple provides App Store commerce. Your chosen share destination, email provider, and web browser are separate services. Those providers may process information in other countries under their own terms, privacy policies, and applicable safeguards.
Retention, deletion, and choices
Local content remains until you delete it in PictoCue, reset the app where available, or remove the app. Removing the app may delete local content unless it is included in a device or exported backup. Analytics retention is managed under the developer's Mixpanel settings and applicable legal obligations. You can turn analytics off in PictoCue Settings, limit network access at the device level, and contact us regarding applicable privacy rights. Turning analytics off asks the analytics SDK to stop sending events and clear its local analytics identity state. Because local board content is not received by the developer, it must be managed on your device.
Security
PictoCue minimizes data sent off device and relies on iOS application storage protections. No method of storage or transmission is guaranteed completely secure. Protect your device, exported files, and any share destination you choose.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as PictoCue changes. The effective date identifies the current version. Privacy questions or applicable rights requests: moshnoi2000@gmail.com. Developer: Ion Mosnoi, Republic of Moldova.
