This policy applies to the PlotCue app for iOS and iPadOS.
Privacy at a glance
- PlotCue does not require an account. Your plot content stays on your device; limited app-usage events are sent to Mixpanel for product analytics.
- PlotCue has no advertising or cross-app tracking. It uses Mixpanel product analytics with automatic event tracking and IP-based geolocation disabled.
- Plots, onboarding choices, app preferences, and generated files are processed locally.
- Smart Draft uses Apple’s on-device Foundation Models framework when available; PlotCue does not use cloud AI.
- Files go to another destination only when you choose an import, export, or share action through an Apple system interface.
Information stored on your device
PlotCue may store plot titles, stage layout and dimensions, performer and equipment labels, explicitly entered audio sources and technical details, requested channels, monitor requests, notes, venue names and limits, venue contact details, load-in/soundcheck/show times, stage-access notes, confirmed venue questions, validation choices, onboarding choices, selected language, and whether the first free export was completed. This show data is stored with Apple SwiftData inside the app container; preferences use local iOS storage.
PlotCue also creates PDF exports in its cache and JSON backups in temporary storage when you request them. Apple may include app data in an iCloud or device backup according to your device settings; PlotCue does not operate that backup service.
Smart Draft and AI
Smart Draft begins only after you open it, enter a description, and request a draft. On an eligible device with a supported language and available model, Apple Foundation Models processes that description on the device. PlotCue does not send it to OpenAI, another cloud-AI provider, or a PlotCue server.
The app shows an editable draft before anything replaces your current plot. Quick Setup and the manual builder remain available when the on-device model is unavailable, refuses a request, or fails.
Files, exports, and sharing
When you choose a JSON file to import, PlotCue reads the file you selected and processes it locally. When you create a PDF rider or JSON backup, PlotCue writes the file locally. A file leaves the app only when you choose a destination through the system share sheet or another Apple interface.
Files, Mail, Messages, cloud storage, and other destination apps handle the copy you send under their own terms and privacy policies. PlotCue does not control or delete those external copies.
Purchases
Apple processes PlotCue Pro weekly and yearly subscriptions, prices, renewals, billing, refunds, transaction history, and restoration through StoreKit and your Apple Account. The app receives product and entitlement information needed to show the purchase and unlock features. The developer does not receive your full payment-card details or create a PlotCue customer account. Structural purchase/restore outcomes may be included in analytics; transaction receipts and Apple Account details are not sent to Mixpanel.
Analytics, diagnostics, tracking, and permissions
PlotCue sends limited structural events to Mixpanel’s EU service: app launch, onboarding step and completion, plan creation, purchase-screen views, product loading, purchase and restore outcomes, and venue export success or failure. Events include a randomly generated app-install identifier, app version/build, and basic device/operating-system information supplied by the SDK. We do not send band names, onboarding answer values, plot titles, performer or equipment labels, technical notes, Smart Draft descriptions, files, email addresses, advertising identifiers, or precise location. IP-derived geolocation is disabled. This data is used to understand product reliability and completion, not advertising or cross-app tracking.
The current app does not request camera, photo-library, microphone, contacts, location, calendar, Bluetooth, notification, or Health access. Apple’s operating system and App Store services may process their own diagnostics and service data under Apple’s policies.
Retention, deletion, and security
Local plot data remains until you delete it in PlotCue or remove the app. Settings → Delete all data deletes stored plots and onboarding choices from the app, but does not cancel a subscription or refund an Apple purchase. The selected language and system-managed cache or temporary files may remain until iOS or app deletion clears them.
Analytics events are held by Mixpanel under the configured project retention policy and applicable service requirements. Contact us about data-access or deletion requests. Copies you exported outside PlotCue must be deleted from their destination separately. Deleting the app normally removes its local container; Apple-managed backups may follow your backup retention settings. Protect access to your device and inspect every destination before sharing.
Support requests and children
If you email or call support, we receive the contact information, message, and attachments you choose to provide outside the app. We use that information to respond, troubleshoot, protect the service, and meet legal obligations. Do not send confidential rider content unless it is necessary.
PlotCue is a general-audience technical planning tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the app, providers, or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the current version.
